For my fourth and final project, I decided to really step out of my own comfort zone, creatively. I created my own comic story, with my own original characters, storyline, and art.
Art: For art, I created 3 different depictions of what I think my main character, Nina Singh, would look like. I used some of my own physical characteristics when creating it.
English:For English, I wrote the description for how I created my characters and where I gathered the information to create them.
The first one is the over- dramatized version of what my character would look like. In other words, the over the top superhero costume version. I created this one because I wanted to create a version that was like the “expectations” version of the idea that’s put into people’s head about what superheroes are supposed to look based on when comic books were first written and became more popular. The second one is not as realistic as the third one, but it’s definitely more people- like than the first one. This one is what I imagine my character to look like when I drew up the idea of who my character is and her personality type. I incorporated some of my own facial characteristics such as the nose and eyebrow shape, just like I did on the character map, where I incorporated my own character traits. The third one is the most “person” like from the three characters that I created and it’s the most accurate of what I would want the actual character to look like.
Social Studies: For social studies, I created a character map, using some of my personal favorite character's traits.
